    Posted on 13th December 2023.

From the Tricity to Krakow, Poznan and Warsaw, Christmas markets attract millions of visitors and transform the cities into festive wonderlands. Enchanting children's carol concerts add to the allure and make these markets top of the list.

In Poland, the celebration of Christmas is a joyous affair, marked by the gathering of entire families around the table on Christmas Eve and the days that follow. Hotels have become popular venues for Christmas gatherings, allowing families to focus on each other. In particular, Sheraton hotels in Warsaw, Poznan, Sopot and Krakow continue their tradition of hosting lavish Christmas dinners for locals and international guests, extending the festivities into New Year's Eve parties and New Year's Day brunches.

CUCINA MIA

Warsaw's Sheraton is famous for its excellent Polish, Italian and Asian cuisine. A Christmas Eve feast with a buffet menu will be a real feast for the palate. The hotel offers traditional Polish Christmas dishes combined with an international touch that will turn this evening into a journey through original flavours, while carols and beautiful decorations will give the evening a special atmosphere. Brunches on the first and second days of Christmas and the first of January are true international feasts with oysters and caviar, tender beef tenderloin, oriental duck, delicious sushi and much more… They say: If you want to celebrate, celebrate big.

The hotel's main restaurant is called Cucina Mia and is famous for its original Italian cuisine. Live music evenings are organized here every week. Perhaps in reference to this, the New Year's Eve party has been named La Dolce Vita, and among the highlights, apart from the excellent food, there will be a DJ, a dance floor and an open bar. "Life is beautiful. It's good to start 2024 with this thought!" - invites the hotel's Executive Chef Marcin Sasin.

ANIMA

Visitors to Sheraton in Poland's former capital will also be treated to a Christmas Eve feast organized in the beautifully decorated Anima restaurant. Executive Chef Stanislaw Bobowski will focus on the classics on that day - so there will be borscht, several types of pierogi, carp and traditional baked goods. Alternatively, salmon Wellington and roast turkey. The Christmas brunch on 25 December is more international, with duck consomme, beef with truffles and seafood at the forefront. To welcome the New Year together, the hotel offers a New Year's Eve dinner with live music and a dance floor. The menu is captivating and the offer is difficult to turn down. Last but not least, to welcome the New Year on the banks of the Vistula River, at the foot of Wawel Castle, is in itself an experience to remember for a long time.

RYNEK

At Sheraton Poznan, perfectly located right next to the main train station, the main restaurant is the Market, specializing in Polish flavours. And it is, after all, for these traditional Polish dishes, among others, that we love Christmas so much. During the Christmas Eve celebration, we can expect such classics as herring, carp, borscht, homemade pierogi, dried fruit compote and poppy seed cake. The brunch on 25 December will take on a more international character. Executive Chef Jan Nawrocki's dishes include Creole fish soup, salmon with oyster sabayon, beetroot ravioli or white chocolate mousse with roasted coffee, cinnamon and blood orange jelly.

New Year's Eve in the market promises to be a dance party. Live music from a band and tunes spun by a DJ will fill the night. There are a few gems on the menu, so stay tuned. The party is expected to last until 3 o'clock, with a lavish welcome to the New Year planned for midnight.
