To mark the holy month of Ramadan, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is hosting an array of lavish Ramadan experiences. Guests can explore a Ramadan Souk during Iftar, indulge in a breathtaking new Suhoor at the Grand Lawn; all while local’s favourite, the annual Iftar at Giornotte, returns.


A lavish Iftar awaits you at Giornotte

Once the sun has set, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal invites guests to break their fast at Giornotte. Every night the Iftar buffet will feature an extensive menu of classical Arabic inspired dishes including Ouzi, Moroccan Tagine, kunafa along with other traditional treats. Many of the dishes will be prepared at several live cooking stations extending through the length of the venue which will be given a special Arabian theme for the holy month. To ensure guests are entertained, there will be daily performances by a Kanoon play and the popular Ramadan Tamarind juice will be served in a traditional manner.

A new welcome experience awaits Iftar guests. The resort will host a special Ramadan Souk that will feature a choice of luxury gifts, perfumes and edible treats. This boutique Souk provides the perfect opportunity for guests to spend quality time together browsing the stalls and a chance to purchase Eid gifts for family and friends. As the holy month is a time of charity, a percentage of the profits made from the sales at the Ramadan Souk will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support pioneering childhood cancer research and help affected families to afford quality treatment. Continuing the same spirit, for every Iftar purchased, excluding discounts, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal will donate AED 10 to the same cause by Al Jalila Foundation.

Savour the breath-taking scenery at Suhoor at the Grand Lawn

For the most picturesque Suhoor in the whole of the UAE, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal will launch the Suhoor at the Grand Lawn. The venue will feature an incredible lounge style set-up, as well as cabanas for a semi-private experience. With lights scintillating across the venue, guests can enjoy the majestic ambience as the main spotlight is taken by the glowing Grand Mosque. For that extra special evening, the resort will offer a tantalizing meal complimented by awe-inspiring views. A decadent à la carte menu of traditional Arabic hot and cold dishes along with regional delicacies will be served, while live entertainment will be provided by a Kanoon player. To complete the experience, there will also be a designated spot for that all-important Instagram moment.
