As International Waffle Day approaches, Executive Chef Ruud Visser at Amsterdam Marriott Hotel walks us through their special sweet and savoury waffle recipes!
Waffle mix
Recipe:
First mix all the dry ingredients and then mix the egg’s, milk and oil into a thick mixture. In a pre-heated mould, cook the waffles until golden brown.
Sweet and salty waffle
Toppings:
Recipe:
Cover two warm golden brown waffles generously with maple syrup, place the crispy bacon slices on the waffles. Serve warm and covered in icing sugar
Chocolate and banana mash waffle
Toppings:
Recipe:
Arrange two golden brown waffles on a fitting plate, drape the chocolate paste generously on the two waffles. Serve with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint and eatable flowers
Berry and cream waffle
Toppings:

Arrange two golden brown waffles on a fitting plate generously arrange the berries serve the berries coulee on the side drape the honey over the waffles and garnish with fresh mint.
