As International Waffle Day approaches, Executive Chef Marcin Sasin from Sheraton Grand Warsaw walks us through his special Grand Waffle recipe.
Ingredients (20 waffles):
1. 5 eggs
2. 5 yolks
3. 100 g sugar
4. 10 g vanilla sugar
5. 300 g milk
6. 480 g wheat flour
7. 6 g baking powder
8. 200 g melted butter
9. 1 table spoon cold butter
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar until blended.
2. Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature (200°C)
3. Add milk to the egg mixture. Blend again.
4. Add flour and baking powder and blend again.
5. Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
