Oeno Wine Bar: a popular cheese and wine destination in Dubai

Who wouldn’t like to unwind with a good glass of wine after a long day at work? Well my colleagues and I found out that Oeno wine bar has daily happy hour from 5pm until 8pm, so we decided to check it out on a Sunday after work.

Located in the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi hotel, the bar is on the lobby level. We step in and wow… there’s clearly an eye for detail. The space is divided into two levels with high ceiling and a giant glass-walled wine cellar in the corner of the room. You can also access the upper floor through a luxurious glass stairway, with stainless steel sides. We decided to sit outdoors on the terrace overlooking the beach.
I guess the busyness of the bar depends on what day of the week you visit. The manager told us that the venue is actually bursting on Tuesdays (Ladies night with AED60 for unlimited house drinks and nibbles), Wednesdays (Wine tasting night) and weekends (Friday brunch and DJ nights). But you’ll find great value every day of the week, since they have the daily happy hour deal (except Fridays), from 5pm - 8pm.

Whether you're a connoisseur or just looking for a place to chill and have some good wine, Oeno offers you an extensive list of international wines, from floral to citrus to oak aging aromas - an option for everybody. We ordered:
- Petit Chablis, a well-known French wine - it has this crisp taste in the mouth and is lighter, more citrusy than other white wines. This type of wine is higher in acidity and perfect with some charcuterie bites - which of course we ordered.
- Kumala Rosé, South African wine - A refreshing Rosé with an enjoyable fruity flavor. It tasted a little bit like Strawberry puree. Very well priced and pleasant to drink; my kind of wine!

Oeno has a variety of charcuterie platters, bites, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and other main dishes. Cheese, cold meats and crackers are the best (and safest) food match to pair with wine.
We ordered:
- The Pork Charcuterie platter that had a mix of parma ham, salami, bresaola with fresh bread and dried fruits.
- The Swiss Style cheese fondue, which is melted cheese in a pot heated with candles.
The quality of the food exceeded our expectations honestly, and the portions were huge. Each plate was enough for 3 people.

Oeno Wine Bar is the perfect way to spend a chill evening with colleagues or your girlfriends. They have affordable prices with good quality wines and a wide selection of cold meat cuts, cheeses and bread. Looking forward to come back for ladies night!
