  • Pan Fried Beef Sandwich with BBQ Sauce

INGREDIENTS FOR 1 SERVING
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 10 grams of butter
  • 50 grams of Ketchup
  • 50 grams of BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger / Garlic Paste
  • 1 pinch of salt and black Pepper
  • 1 capsicum
  • 10 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 piece of bread
  • 120 grams of Beef Tenderloin
  • Cocktail Sauce
  • Pickled Cucumbers
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Lettuce
INSTRUCTIONS

For the Beef
Season beef with salt and pepper. Heat the pan and add the olive oil. Add the meat to the pan and fry until it's brown. Once done, put the meat inside the oven at 160 °C for 12 minutes. Leave the meat to cool and then cut it in thin strips.

For the BBQ Sauce
Use the frying pan you just used to grill the meat. Once hot, add butter and olive oil, plus the garlic / ginger paste. Add the BBQ sauce with ketchup. If you like your sauce spicy, you can add Tabasco as an optional ingredient. Season with salt and pepper. Leave the pan on low heat, until the sauce holds together. Then, mix in the beef.

For the Vegetables
Cut the capsicum and mushrooms into small pieces. Saute the capsicum and mushrooms in a little bit of olive oil. Season to taste.

For the Bread
Divide the bread in half and butter the insides slightly. Place it on the grill until it's brown and crispy as per your liking. Put the cocktail sauce on the bread. Then ad the tomato, cucumber pickles, lettuce and fried vegetables. Add the beef and top it with Cheddar Cheese. Serve with a side salad or French fries.
